Melbourne Zoo offers engaging Later Years programs that allow students to focus more clearly on areas of interest related to their future schooling and career pathways.
Students are able to take ownership of their own learning with support from experts, and experience real-life situations facing Zoo staff.
Year 9 & 10
Students explore the idea of leadership, draw parallels between the leadership styles, social structures and personalities of different zoo animals and human leaders, including themselves.
Year 5 - Year 10
Are our everyday choices and actions threatening gorillas and tree-kangaroos? Students will explore the links between their behaviours and endangered species across the globe.
